CHARACTER
↠ Name: Jane Tiberia Kirk
↠ Canon: Star Trek AOS
↠ Journal: [personal profile] punch_it
↠ Age: 26

↠ Appearance: Jane is tiny, blonde and terrifying. She's lightly muscled and can flip a full grown man over her head. She's got bright blue eyes and tends to forgo make-up except when out partying or on duty, then it's every bit as an important part of her uniform and weaponry as the hand-held phaser she keeps tucked in the waist band of her pants.

↠ Reference/History: Jane | Jim

↠ Personality:
Pride: Jane has spent most her adult life attempting to step out of the enormous shadow her mother left behind. She is constantly out to prove her worth as her own person by being better than everyone thinks she can be. She doesn't like accepting help with personal problems. She doesn't like to feel weak. Her independence comes from years she perceived herself to be on her own, and this independence has gotten her killed.

Lust: She likes sex. Jane Kirk really. REALLY. likes sex. She likes sex with one person, two people, an orgy of people. She is the ultimate pansexual. She has yet to meet another species she would not consider having sex with, so long as no one is getting hurt and everyone is having fun. The one quirk Jane has to this love of sex is her need for consent. She will not sleep with you if she feels you are someone feeling pressured or coerced into it. Things just aren't fun when people think they have to have sex with you.

Envy: She won't ever say it, but she is always jealous of people with loving families. She won't go out of her way to say her father didn't love her, he did, but she wasn't in a warm home after Sam ran away when Jane was eleven. She doesn't resent people the kind of childhood she wishes she had, but she feels extremely uncomfortable in the presence of that kind of familial love.

Wrath: You fuck with her crew. She will fuck up your face. There are no formal discussions.

Gluttony: Jane has a thing about food. She has her favorites, like everyone else, but she sometimes forgets to eat, or overeats to the point of making herself ill. This is especially noticeable with alcohol. If having a terrible day, she will drink past the point of sanity.

Sloth: Jane worked as a bartender from the time she turned eighteen. She didn't want to go on to college despite having an excellent grade point average and passing intellectual exams at a genius level. She didn't apply those skills until she entered Starfleet.

Greed: If we're counting her passionate love affair with the Enterprise, hell yes, Jane Kirk is a greedy bitch. She will kill people for that ship maybe not literally.

Cocksure and confident, Janey Kirk is Captain Fine. She struts about, commands attention and generally gets into brawls because screw you that's why. If you move and breathe, Jane's likely to flirt with you for the hell of it. She's brash and loud and doesn't like taking 'no' for an answer.

The darling of Starfleet, Jane is and knows she is the poster girl for all that's good and awesome in the Federation (even if she thinks that's bullcrap). She actually is adept at diplomacy, despite what a lot of people seem to think, is fluent in multiple languages and can adapt to situations in a snap when it means someone life is in danger.

And she's had to. She always had to even as a little kid. Jane is a survivor. If she didn't have her bravado and charm, then what exactly is her purpose? She jumps at dares and pretends things are fantastic because she doesn't want to expose her soft under-belly and yeah, she has one of those. Big time. Her guilt complex? It's terrifying and only the brave should dare go near it.

Jane's spent a hell of a long time trying to prove her own worth. Living in the heroic shadow of a dead mom, a crazy-piston of a father and a step-mom who liked to yell and make lewd comments more than, you know, be a mom, Jane is constantly pushing herself to be a better person. She's smart without being arrogant about it, something she likes to hide because she always gets a tiny little kick out of flabbergasting people who think they're smart as shit only to be out played by her. She hurts easy, bruises where people might not think to look, and finds it really hard to know who to trust for the long haul. And it isn't because she doesn't want to trust people either.

She's got mommy issues, daddy issues and abandonment issues that are light years in length and she's still pretty damn certain they only gave him the Enterprise because Pike pulled a ton of weight with the other Admirals and leaned heavily on the sympathy card. (She did. And it burned more than Jane ever dared think it might when they took it all away from her.) She doesn't always feel worthy of the accolades she receives, and would rather just keep pushing onward than stop and acknowledge the good that's been done.

Jane is an all right kid. She's kind and funny and gets into stupid situations with other people all the time and then only puts their safety first. She's compassionate and headstrong and it's probably going to get her killed entirely too young.

And yes, she's got one hell of a temper when pushed too far. Watch out for her passion because it's absolutely contagious and could very well lead you down the path to hell.

All she wants to do now is help people. It's pretty simple. She wants to explore and discover and grow into the epic destiny that was unexpectedly dumped on her head.

↠ Powers: None outside the realm of a physically fit, charming human being.

↠ Reason for Playing This Character: I am hoping to explore facets of Jane's personality that doesn't often come up in other games, the darker sides of her personality and the less charming aspects of her personality. But Jane as a whole is just damn fun to play. She makes friends easily and enemies but who was asking? and has very little shame about certain parts of her personality that she would dub the best parts of her personality.

↠ What is Your Character's Sin?: Pride. (Though if asked she will straight up say it's lust. It's not. Though it's close.)

SAMPLES

↠ First Person: Sample

↠ Third Person: This log, in my mind, perfectly exemplifies the results of Jane's pride. She chose not to listen to anyone outside herself and her own feelings and lack of self-worth and it effected more than just her. Her pride and ego made her feel invincible in a situation that, had it occurred anywhere else, would have resulted in her death. And here in this log, Jane reflects on that.
